I’m Eve, a History student at the University of Edinburgh. With help from the Carnegie Trust Vacation Scholarship, I’m exploring transgender possibilities in medieval history, and how this lens can help us examine gender dynamics and expression in the distant past. I will be focusing on the 1395 trial of Eleanor Rykener and building outwards, incorporating aspects of different historiographical disciplines, and other case studies.
